The Pathway Prayer Process

There are many ways to enter the Akashic Records. Some are intuitive. Some are visual. Some are spontaneous and unstructured. And all are valid when they are anchored in reverence and intention.

But for those new to the Records—or those who want a grounded, protected container—there is one method that continues to stand as a gold standard:
The Pathway Prayer Process developed by Linda Howe.

Linda Howe is a renowned teacher and pioneer in the modern study of the Akashic Records, and her prayer-based method is one of the most widely respected and energetically aligned approaches available.

The following prayer is used by thousands of people around the world to safely, consciously, and lovingly enter the Akashic Field. It is copyrighted and published by The Linda Howe Center, and it is shared here with full acknowledgment and gratitude.

When you are ready, you may speak this aloud while holding the sincere intention to open your own Records—or the Records of someone over the age of eighteen, who has given you permission.

✦ OPENING PRAYER

Read Aloud:
And so we do acknowledge the Forces of Light,
Asking for guidance, direction, and courage to know the Truth
As it is revealed for our highest good and the highest good of everyone connected to us.

Oh Holy Spirit of God,
Protect me from all forms of self-centeredness
And direct my attention to the work at hand.

Read each line below three times. The first time out loud and the second and third silently.

Help me to know (myself/first name of individual being read) in the Light of the Akashic Records,

To see (myself/first name of individual being read) through the eyes of the Lords of the Records,

And enable me to share the wisdom and compassion that the Masters,
Teachers, and Loved Ones of (me/first name of individual being read) have for (me/him/her).

Read the phrase below once aloud:
The Records are now open.

You may pause after the final line to sit in silence, breathe deeply, and observe the shift in your field. Some people feel an immediate sense of sacred presence. Others notice subtle emotional softening or mental clarity.

Ask the question that is on your heart.

Trust whatever arises—even if what arises is stillness. Trust the process.

When closing, you may gently place your hands over your heart or navel and breathe in gratitude. You do not need to rush. The Records close the moment your intention closes—but this ritual reinforces the sacred boundary.

✦ Always close the Records after each session, even if you feel nothing “big” happened. The act of closing is energetic, not emotional. You are completing a cycle of reverence.
